Circulation Rules Meetings

Hello everyone, In the next step of migration, I will be working with each library to configure their circulation rules in FOLIO. I would like to have a meeting in the next two weeks to gather your circulation rule requirements and give you an overview of your configuration options in FOLIO. Depending on availability, it would be helpful to include and at least one Access Services staff member/supervisor who is familiar with day-to-day circulation workflows. Inventory Exemplar Set Review Reminders (MassArt, MFA, Lesley, and Stonehill)

Good morning, Last week Index Data loaded 3 more libraries' (MassArt, MFA, and Lesley) exemplar set data into their FOLIO sandboxes. As a reminder, the exemplar set is a small chunk of your catalog data that contains enough item type/location combinations to be representative of your whole collection. We're staggering the inventory review periods based on go-live date. Please note that Stonehill has an earlier due date than the other three institutions based on when their data was loaded. Please review the exemplar set load in your respective FOLIO sandbox (in the Inventory app) and report any issues or adjustments needed in the issue tracker spreadsheet linked below. - Stonehill review deadline: Friday, February 7th - MassArt, MFA, and Lesley review deadline: February 14th - NEC: TBD (expected to be loaded this week) Any issues/changes submitted after the review period may not be honored unless minor, so please use this time wisely. VuFind Intake Form Due 1/31/2025

Hello everyone, The first step in configuring your VuFind catalog is to fill out the VuFind intake form linked below. *Please complete the VuFind Intake form (one response per library) by January 31, 2025*. VuFind Intake Form: https://forms.gle/z9QrDWUYGzZtXGT97 The intake form presents basic customization options with space for you to request more specific customizations based on the unique needs of your library. Specialized customization requests will be reviewed by Index Data to determine what is possible. Some requests might be easy to implement, while others might be possible but require development work and won’t be ready by go-live. We’ll discuss the specifics of these with you as they come up. Once you have completed the intake form, Index Data will configure your test VuFind catalog for review. During the review period, you can still request changes to your VuFind configuration. Nothing is set in stone if you request a feature on the intake form and change your mind during the review period; however, after the review period, changes may not be able to be implemented by your go-live date. We'll provide more details about the dates of the review period once Index Data has completed the test VuFind catalogs.
