If I understand correctly, I believe you are right. If you were to anonymize without treating loans with associated fees/fines differently, it could lead to mystery fees/fines. You're welcome to repeat your question to folio-users@list.flo.org or in the #folio-adopters Slack if you'd like to hear from the previously migrated folks. I believe we also discussed anonymization in the April User Group meeting, but I don't think we specifically covered fees/fines.

Maybe this is more of a question for the 2024 migration folks. I'm just trying to figure out how this actually works and what libraries are choosing to do about it.
