Reminder: ComCat Freeze Begins Tomorrow (4/15)

Good morning, I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Tomorrow I'll be disabling borrowing and lending in ComCat for the libraries currently using it with Voyager. You'll still be able to process any active requests, you just won't be able to get or place new ones. Once you have no remaining requests, I'll begin the process of transitioning your NCIP/z39.50 connection from Voyager to FOLIO. I'll be communicating with each library about how soon after the FOLIO go-live they'd like to turn ComCat back on. Libraries are welcome to start using ComCat as soon as possible post go-live or wait awhile to get acquainted with the new system. This freeze doesn't affect Stonehill but Stonehill will be onboarded onto ComCat post FOLIO migration as all FLO members are added to ComCat. Permission Sets for FOLIO

Hello all, I've created spreadsheets for each library to request permission sets for their staff accounts in FOLIO. A permission set is a collection of app permissions that you can use over and over again (ex. student worker permission set). Since there are 400+ permissions in FOLIO, they make creating new staff accounts a lot easier. The second tab of the spreadsheet shows an example of how to use the template. I need these at least *2 weeks prior to each library's go-live*, so please account for that. Dry Run Reminders

Hello all, Starting next week FLO and Index Data will be doing a "dry run" of each library's final data load. This means we're practicing loading fresh data before the real deal to see how long that takes and if we run into any issues. As part of this process we'll be clearing the Inventory, Users, Organizations, Agreements, and Licenses apps out prior to doing the reload. You won't be able to use the system during your dry run week, so please use the FLO shared sandbox <https://flo-test.folio.indexdata.com/> if you need to use that time for training. Reference data, AKA the data found in the Settings app, will not be wiped out. I'll keep you posted on our progress as we go.
