Our next meeting will be Wednesday, August 6 and the topic was tentatively
set as Marketing Programming and Events. If you would like to speak briefly
about how your library markets and spreads the word about events and
programming, please fill out this survey.

As a reminder, talks are a very casual way of highlighting library services
and programming for our other group members to learn from. Additionally, if
you have any ideas for future meeting topics, please feel free to also
indicate that in the survey.
Please also check out our newly published community Libguide at
https://libraries.flo.org/communities/library-programming/home which will
be updated with notes and resources from this latest meeting.
Please let me know if you have any questions and see you next month!

Hello Library Programming COI Members!
Sydney (FLO), Raina (FLO), Natalie (MCPHS) and I met recently to discuss how to run the Library Programming COI meetings moving forward as well as how to capture information that is discussed at the meetings (thanks for all your great thoughts and input!) As this COI group is still new and evolving, the below may change, but to start we came up with the following. Raina, Syndey, and Natalie – feel free to add anything I missed!
Meeting Flow
* Welcome
* Show And Tell – 1-2 COI members will present on a topic that is being discussed that month and how it works at their library. These will be brief – 5 minutes max. Or for larger topics, have 1 member do a longer presentation. For our June meeting, Natalie will present on Orientation at MCPHS, and I will present on how MassBay has attempted to create a welcoming space.
* Breakout Rooms – We will have breakout rooms to further discuss topics presented. Members can choose which room they want to go to, and they will be 10 minutes long.
* Report Out And Q&A – Each Breakout Room will report out what was discussed, and members can ask questions.
* Open Discussion – Topic Suggestions For Next Month – Call For Volunteers For Next Show And Tell
Other Information
* Sydney will be our note taker for the meetings.
* Raina will design a LibGuide that lives at FLO, to capture all the resources/information that is discussed at our meetings. Natalie will take the lead on keeping the LibGuide updated.
* Sydney will create a form that will live on the LibGuide for members to submit comments, feedback, and suggestions for upcoming topics.
*
Recordings of our meeting will be available for 2-3 months after the meeting then deleted. A link to the recordings will be provided on the LibGuide.
* A Slack Channel will be formed.
* The Zoom address will stay the same for each meeting (phew!)
While everything is still being set up, feel free to email me with any questions, comments or suggestions.
Looking forward to seeing many of you at our next meeting – Wednesday, June 4 @ 11am.
Thanks!

Hello all,
Thank you for expressing interest in the new library programming COI, and
it was great to see many of you last week at the first meeting!
This is the new mailing list for the group:
coi-library-programming(a)list.flo.org Please feel free to share with
colleagues at your libraries; they can subscribe themselves by going to
https://list.flo.org/postorius/lists/coi-library-programming.list.flo.org/
or contacting FLO. We will be using this list for group communications
going forward.
At the first meeting, the group shared about different programs happening
at our libraries and talked about ideas for this group. The meeting was not
recorded, but the group discussed doing so in the future.
Please save the date for the next meeting on *June 4 at 11:00 a.m. (the
first Wednesday of the month)*. Meeting information will be sent in
advance.
Best,
Raina
